A Chartered Engineer with 20 years experience in broadcasting and professional audio related operations including 7 years at the BBC.  Andrew formed Oxford Sound & Media over 13 years ago.  He has a clear understanding of the technical needs of his client and uses his design skills to ensure that our systems fully meet the requirements of the client.  An experienced broadcast system designer and integrator, Andrew has directed projects varying from turnkey studio installs to substantial long-term theatre AV contracts.

Hilary’s experience gained with Nat West plc, Standard Chartered Bank and C&G Building Society has been of immeasurable use since joining Oxford Sound and Media.  As well as all the usual duties assigned to the role of General Manager Hilary also directly oversees credit control and buying/purchasing, which gives her the opportunity to use her considerable negotiating skills to the full advantage of both profitably and the client.

After joining the BBC as a graduate trainee in 1983, Richard was deployed around the majority of the BBC departments in engineering co-ordination roles.  Richard commands a sound broadcast engineering background, an analytical mind and a strong multi-project management ability to meet deadlines and budgets.  His particular strengths are his broad range of project management skills allied to a practical and thorough understanding of the environment around a project, from the day to day operational considerations to contract management and budget planning issues.

A music industry convert, Mark has extensive experience within all aspects of professional audio engineering as well as holding a RoSPA qualification for safe site working practices. With three years spent in the Middle East designing and project managing media systems for Intercontinental Hotels, his love of rain and good beer brought him back to the UK and ultimately Oxford Sound & Media where his skills are in permanent use.

Engineering Technician: Rob Jeffery

Rob joined Oxford Sound and Media in 2004 and comes from a commercial audio visual installation background.  Since joining the company Rob has been involved in installations involving both the Theatre sound and Radio broadcast sectors of the business.  He enjoys finding the practical solution to a problem and spends the majority of his time working on site.

Engineering Technician: Dan Stroud

Dan is a graduate of the SAE Audio Engineering course and a budding musician.  His practical skills, allied to his enthusiasm ensure that he is a key member of most on-site installation crews.  His ability to “get the job done” is invaluable.

 

 

Engineering Technician: Richard Prewitt

Since leaving college and starting his career in electronics and electrical wiring Richard has travelled the world working on different installation projects and takes great pride in producing work of the highest quality.  Prior to Oxford Sound & Media Richard spent 8 years working for SSL ensuring their consoles were manufactured to the highest standards.

 

 

Engineering Technician: Julian Edgington

Julian joined Oxford Sound & Media with both HNC and ONC qualifications in Mechanical Engineering as well as being a fully qualified Electrician - a rare mix of very useful skills.  Having worked as a DJ in the past Julian now enjoys the practical side of installing sound systems and is keen to be more involved with the theatre lighting arm of the business.
